Artful flowers



Gloxinia is a tropical rhizomatous herb in the flowering plant family Gesneriacae. These plants are quite easy to grow and can be propagated from root or leaf cuttings. Pictured here, from the QSBG nursery area, you can see some of the wonderful hybrids grown here. They remind me of Georgia O’Keeffe’s brightly colored paintings of close up flowers.
